Elijah's Xtreme Beer Bacon Maple BBQ-saus

I was skeptical about bacon-flavored BBQ sauce, but the maple really rounds out that savoury tomato base nicely. I've been slathering it on grilled chicken and even a simple burger, and it holds its own every time.

The malt note from the beer comes through just enough to make the tomato base feel deeper, not boozy. Smothered it on grilled chicken and the maple-bacon combo left a sticky, savory glaze I kept scraping off the plate.

Opened the jar expecting a gimmick, but that savoury tomato base with the beer’s gentle malt is genuinely well-balanced. Maple shows up at the end without making it sweet like a dessert sauce. Slathered it on ribs and the bacon flavour actually held up through the cook.
