These little gherkins are insanely crisp, and the ghost pepper heat really does hit you right in the back of the throat after a few seconds. I threw them into a ploughman's lunch for a family gathering and they completely stole the show, two guests were sweating but kept reaching for more.

The heat creeps up slowly, then hits like a freight train — but the crunch of those gherkins is so satisfying I couldn't stop at one. Half a jar went onto my lunchtime ploughman's and it completely woke up the cheddar and pickle combo.
